My name is Josiah Vander Heyden. I am originally from Rockford, Illinois, and graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois. I had lived in Houston, Texas, following graduation where I initially started in the oil & gas industry and then made the leap into real estate where I was the top producing Listing Agent at the #1 Team in Houston. Houston never felt like home and my wife and two children and I always knew we would be raising our family in Rockford. That move finally came in 2019 with the opportunity to join the family real estate business at Team Sold On Toni as the Lead Listing Specialist.
Since stepping into the real estate industry in Houston and now back in Rockford, I have consistently listed and sold 150+ properties a year and continue to do so. With this experience, I have had the pleasure of not only working with clients selling their homes but also with builders and investors on their new construction and investment portfolios respectively. As a builder and investor myself, I understand the risks and rewards with each transaction and use that experience to look out for my client’s best interest.
I have always had a passion for Rockford and in addition to helping my clients, I am actively involved in two other business ventures in the Rockford area with the goal of investing, developing, and revitalizing our community. Ranging from flipping houses to redeveloping older commercial properties, all of my projects have the end goal of making a more vibrant and resilient community.
